Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it truly is alarmed about the superior range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area regularly. The support place created for intervention encounters a superior inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to allow the servicing of all shoppers and maximize access to sassa status check Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
